3DMed-VShot Camera Structure

Many parameters have been considered in the process of medical photography with the 3DMedVShot device, such as uniform light, camera distance, image sensor resolution, lens quality, stabilization technique, speed, and uniformity of the virtual shot.

Automatic Height Adjustment by Linear Laser

Our proposed device automatically determines the size of the head and the height of the person through line laser scanners. Based on estimated features, the device adaptively adjusts itself to take standard and uniform pictures. A robotic elevator adjusts the height of the camera with a prismatic joint.

What we do

The lack of a reference system for medical photography of head and neck in market was my motivation to form a group to start my applied research and development a special photography system for medical application. After gathering team members in 3 years ago, we commenced our research, practical experiments, hardware design, mechanical implementation and software development. Our target device is an affordable medical photography system for clinical application which can be utilized as a benchmark for forensic evidence.
